Day 2 – Sunday 03 March,  Singapore Sightseeing Tour/ Singapore Botanic Gardens/National Orchid Garden
Enjoy a delicious breakfast this morning before heading out to explore Singapore on a half day city sights tour. Singapore, officially the Republic of Singapore, is an island country off the southern tip of the Malay Peninsula. Prior to independence in 1965, Singapore was a vibrant trading port. Observe the rich cultural and historical heritage through the sights and sounds of the bustling ethnic enclaves. Along the streets of China Town, Kampong Glam and Little India, religious monuments nestle amidst quaint shop houses. Contrasting with the modern shopping malls, such as the Suntec City, there are serene gardens and sleek skyscrapers. The statue of Singapore’s founder, Sir Stamford Raffles proudly stands in front of the Victoria Theatre. Its replica stands at North Boat Quay – colloquially known as Raffles Landing Site, as this is the spot where Raffles is believed to have stepped ashore. Stop for lunch today at a local restaurant. On the tour visit the Singapore Botanic Gardens and National Orchid Garden. The Botanic Garden is a 156-year-old tropical garden located at the fringe of the Singapore’s main shopping belt. It is one of three gardens, and the only tropical garden, to be honoured as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The National Orchid Garden is located on the highest hill in the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Providing a place for 60,000 orchid plants – consisting of 1000 species and more than 2,000 hybrids – is the three hectares of carefully landscaped slopes. Returning to the hotel later this afternoon, dinner tonight will be at a local restaurant. (B, L)

Day 3 – Monday 04 March,  Breakfast at the Zoo/High Tea at Raffles
Breakfast is at the zoo this morning! Have you ever had breakfast with an orang utan? The Singapore Zoo is the only place in the world where you can have breakfast with not one but an entire family of orang utans! As you indulge in a hearty breakfast spread that includes international and local favourites, the orang utan family will make a spectacular entrance. Taking the ‘treeway’ from their free-range habitat next door, they’ll be ambling in one by one as a trunk drawbridge is lowered to let them through. It’s an amazing sight to behold! Some free time to today to explore on your own. Shop, sightsee or simply lay by the pool at your hotel. This afternoon visit the iconic Raffles Hotel. Begin at the Raffles Landing Site, where Sir Stamford Raffles is believed to have first stepped ashore in 1819. Discover the city’s colonial history as you walk past bronze sculptures erected along the Singapore River. From Kucinta Cats to River Merchants, the various sculptures each depict a scene of a long-gone era. The next stop is at the world-famous Raffles Hotel, which used to be the watering-hole for the high-society in the 1800s. Here you will enjoy an afternoon tea buffet with English/local delicacies. Returning to the hotel dinner tonight is own arrangements. (B, AT)

Day 4 – Tuesday 05 March,  Marina Bay Sands / National Museum / Singapore Showcase
This morning head to the Marina Bay Sands Hotel where you can view Singapore from the Sands SkyPark Observation Deck, soaring 57 levels above the heart of the city. Drink in the panoramic vistas of the stunning Marina Bay, the world-class cityscape, the architectural wonders of Supertree Grove, and the vibrant colours characteristic of Gardens by the Bay. From Marina South Pier all the way out to the Singapore Strait, get a bird’s eye view of the bustling shipping lanes that have built Singapore’s rich multicultural history. Make sure you’ve got your camera. We’ll then visit the National Museum of Singapore with a history that dates back to 1849, when it was started as a section of a library at Singapore Institution and called the Raffles Library and Museum. The museum focuses on exhibits related to the history of Singapore. Tonight your hosts take to the stage for a fabulous evening of entertainment. Following dinner your hosts will take to the stage and who knows what the night will bring. This is going to be a wonderful show with wonderful variety. Some country, some rock and roll, some jokes and some classic favourites. Rodney Vincent, Graeme Hugo and Fortunato Isgro. Rodney is a great favourite on the Australian entertainment scene and has a great following. You will enjoy his great mix of songs and laughter. This will be a fabulous showcase. (B, D)

Day 5 – Wednesday 06 March, Gardens by the Bay
The morning is at leisure today. Late this afternoon we will visit Gardens by the Bay. One of Singapore’s premium tourist attractions this man-made

Day 6 – Thursday 07 March, East Coast and Changi Tour
Today drive to the East Coast and Changi in Singapore. Changi Chapel and Museum: The Changi Chapel, situated within the open-air courtyard of the Museum, faithfully replicates the many chapels built during the Japanese Occupation. Built by Changi prison inmates, it stands as a tribute to those who maintained their faith and dignity during those dark years. As you tour the Changi Chapel and Museum, your guide will recount stories of the collective spirit that rose through the darkest times of World War II. Changi Village: A drive through the rustic and laid-back Changi village gives you a chance to see the relaxing side of Singapore and provides a contrast to your next and final stop. Tampines New Town: This is a typical heartland township of present day Singapore. Lunch today will be at a local restaurant before transferring back to the hotel for some leisure time before dinner tonight. (B, L, D)
